It's been a bit quieter in the dollhouse field lately. I've done some shopping but those are for the roombox that I've been planning on building. The mantlepiece and the showcase that I bought from Huuto.net arravied in the same package even though they were bought from different vendors. :) And I'm still waiting for some things to arrive next week.
Takanreunus on todella upeaa työtä, mutta näin jälkeenpäin ajatellen paljon koristeellisempi mitä Petit Trianonin (joka on roomboxini inspiraationa) takat ovat, mutta kai sitä nyt saa ottaa taiteellisia vapauksia.
The mantlepiece is really beautiful work and so detailed. But now that I think about it it's much more ornamental than the mantles in Petit Trianon (which is the inspiration of the roombox) but I think I can take some artistic liberties with this.
Chrysnbonin vitriini ja kukka standi kittin löytäminen oli mieluisa yllätys, eikä se ollut myöskään hinnalla pilattu (alle 5€)!
Finding a Chrysnbon kit was a really welcome surprise and even the price was good (less than 5€)!
HobbyPointista ostin viime Helsingin reissulla 5mm (1mm paksua ja 1000mm pitkää) pähkinä rimaa josta olisi tarkoitus tehdä roomboxiin lattia, ostin vain kaksi pakettia, mutta nyt kun alustavan huoneen koko on kasvanut, täytyy tässä käydä ostamassa muutama paketti lisää samalla kun käyn Helsingissä ensi kuussa.
Last time I was in Helsinki I bought some 5mm (1mm thick and 1000mm long) walnut strips for the roombox flooring. I bought just 2 packages but now that I saw how big the mantlepiece is I'm going to make the room a bit bigger so I need to buy some more walnut while I'm in Helsinki next month.
